Help wanted, rooms, lost dogs, and the notices that still get clipped.

Help wanted. Saturday desk at the depot. Must be willing to tell the canal story and the railroad story without mixing up the years. Ask inside.

Rooms. Room to let above a Broadway storefront. Quiet after the last freight. Shared kitchen. No smokers.

Lost. Black dog, white chest, answers to Scout. Last seen near the Broadway crossing. Reward: a pie from whoever still owes the finder one.

Wanted. Old axe handles, hickory, even if the head is gone. The handle factories are history. The porch tools are not. Leave word at the library desk.

For sale. Upright piano, parlor size, from a house on Summit. In tune if you are not particular. The opry house is not buying.

Lessons. Beginner piano, after school hours. Inquire at the New Haven library branch. The local history shelf is not a practice room.

Notice. Do not park on the crossing. This has been the notice since before the signal mast. It is still the notice.

Rides. Ride wanted to the Edgerton Road shop on a Saturday when the doors are open. Will split the story, not the driving.

For sale. Reel mower, oiled, from a yard on Green Street. It cuts a straight line and does not wake the freight. See the porch.
